PASSION*S PETALS

Looking back to days of city life, before my journey was even dream
Grew a dina in Turia*s garden, along with other beauties to be seen
But the dina grew too slowly, and her colors failed to show
Often pale and sometimes withered, and many thought she*d never grow

The brightest light was sometimes turned on her, in hopes to help the bloom along
But the dina bent into the shadows, moved to weep as days crept on
When I saw that fragile flower, with just a glance I knew her best
Though hidden beauty and lovely fragrance, wrapped her petals tight from others jest

So I took that delicate flower, away from thorny stems so near
Would often speak to her of purpose, that nature*s way was none to fear
That she would spread her petals open, when shine of moonlight*s glow was right
For was a different kind of flower that showed it*s best in evening light

So I watched her bloom before me, with caring words on moonlight skies
And now this precious gift of nature, with softened smile delights these eyes
