There once was explanation for my pleasant state of mind
Seeming always to be present, like stars above or moon*s soft shine
It was easy to be cheerful, for I had seen so many ways

And encouraged the faith in others, for many lost their view of light

Lift the strain of expectations shattered, from lofty dreams never met
For alone we wern*t intended, to face fierce winds of fate*s strong blast
But joined with heart and heart together to feel the best of life at last
So take His heart, and place it near yours
And hear the harmony of two beats in song
And fix your faith to something lasting
